A few More Kolkata Photos

It's been a very busy couple of days in Kolkata, but everything has gone well.  Unfortunately, I haven't had a lot of time to do anything other than meeting-related tasks...today everything is done, so hopefully I'll have more time to get out and see some things today.  Still, I have a few photos worth sharing:

My booth...lots of time spent here!

This photo requires some explanation...when I visited the Kalighat Kalika temple, I bought a small statue of Kali as a souvenir, which I then left on the desk in my hotel room.  I came in one night to find that the housekeeping staff had converted it into a small shrine as they turned my bed down:

Images of Kolkata

First, some typical Kolkata street scenes:

This is the Kalighat Kalika, a major temple to Kali, the Indian goddess of chaos and destruction
This is Victoria Memorial Hall, a memorial to Queen Victoria from when Kolkata was the capital of British India

Some photos from the Mother House, the headquarters of Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity:

Mother Teresa's tomb, being shown to us by Sister Prema, the current Superior of the Missionaries of Charity

Finally, some videos of the cultural program we had at dinner last night:
